Locker Clean-Out Schedule

Locker clean-out days are coming up soon! Here's the schedule:

8th Grade – Monday, June 9
7th Grade – Wednesday, June 11
6th Grade – Thursday, June 12

On these days, we’ll follow a slightly different bell schedule, and during Advisory time, all students will report to their Homeroom class — that means the teacher and room listed as your Homeroom in StudentVUE. Not Advisory. Homeroom.

💡 Tips to prepare:
*Know your locker combination and bring it with you!
*You'll return your lock to your Homeroom teacher.
*If your lock is missing, it becomes a student obligation.
*Your teacher will check that your locker is completely clean — no trash, stickers, or writing.
*Gloves and cleaning wipes will be provided if you want to tidy up your space!

If it’s not your grade’s locker cleanout day, you’ll still report to Homeroom during Advisory and take part in structured, fun activities.

Be ready, be respectful, and let’s finish strong, CJMS!

Email/newsletter announcement language:

As we near the end of the school year, we want to inform you about our locker clean-out process to help students responsibly clear out their belongings and return school-issued locks. Here is the schedule by grade level:
8th Grade – Monday, June 9
7th Grade – Wednesday, June 11
6th Grade – Thursday, June 12

Please note: on each locker clean-out day, we will be following a slightly modified bell schedule, and all students will report to their Homeroom class during Advisory time (directly after 3rd period), instead of their usual Advisory teacher. Students can check StudentVUE to confirm who their Homeroom teacher is and where to report.

✅ What Students Need to Know
To ensure a smooth locker clean-out experience, we’ve asked students to:
* Bring their locker combination and be ready to return their lock to their Homeroom teacher.
* Be aware that any lost locks will result in a financial obligation on their student account.
* Fully clear out their locker, including food, trash, writing, or stickers.
* Show their Homeroom teacher their cleaned-out locker for visual inspection.
* Optional to use school-provided gloves and cleaning wipes as needed.

On days when students are not cleaning out their locker, they will participate in structured, positive activities during the Homeroom period.

We appreciate your partnership in helping students close out the year responsibly. Please reach out to your child’s grade-level team or an administrator if you have questions.
