CJMS students elected to MoCo Junior Council
Members of our SGA attended the Montgomery County Junior Council (MCJC) General Assembly to vote for officers for the 2023-2024 Executive Board*. Two of our students ran for positions and won! Amy Yuan (7th grade) was elected President and Dylan Peltzman (6th grade) was elected Vice President of the Board! If you see them in the hallways or have them as students, be sure to congratulate them on this major achievement!!
Go Amy and Dylan!! 😃😃The MCJC is the county-wide middle school SGA organization. The Executive Board is comprised of students who run for office each year. They meet regularly and are responsible for organizing and running general assemblies, creating initiatives to improve the MCPS student experience, and sharing the voice and perspectives of middle school students with MCPS, the Board of Education, the Montgomery County Council, and local and state legislators.
