Suggested School Supplies

School supplies will be used all year long in ALL GRADES.  Please replenish as needed.

Required Items

  • MCPS Chromebook with a working webcam and microphone. 
    (All students must use their MCPS provided Chromebook)
  • Earbuds or headphones with a microphone
  • Personal face masks (replaced and/or washed often)
  • Binder - 3-Ring (3-inch or larger)
  • 3-Ring Binder Dividers (Minimum of 7 dividers)  new

  • Calculator: Students are encouraged to purchase their own calculator for their academic career. If you choose to purchase a calculator, you should be aware of the models being used in specific classes:

    • Math 6 and IM:  TI-34 MultiView

    • Algebra 1 and Honors Geometry: TI-84 Plus graphing calculator

  • Notebook Paper (loose leaf/wide ruled) to replenish frequently
  • 1 Spiral-bound notebook
  • Pencil Pouch (sturdy, for 3-ring binder)
  • 2-3 packages of 3x5 index cards
  • #2 Pencils (enough for at least 2 in pencil pouch at all times) with erasers to replenish frequently
  • 4 Pens (black, blue, red) to replenish frequently
  • Highlighter
  • Ruler
  • Hand pencil sharpener
  • Personal Hand Sanitizer
  • Personal Tissue Packets
  • Montgomery County Public Library Card  > Register for your MCPL Digital Card

  Recommended Items  

  • Colored pencils
  • Flash Drive 
  • Computer mouse
  • Pencil lead for mechanical pencils  
  • Blue Light Glasses for Screens
No rolling backpacks, please!  They do not fit in any locker.

 

Physical Education Uniform and Spirit Wear

All Cabin John students can order their new PE uniform gear at the online school store.

The first sale of this year closes on July 30, 2021.  Deliveries will come to the school and be provided to students when they return to the school building. Look for another sale later this year.
