Cup of JAVA Technology Camp
CUP OF JAVA TECHNOLOGY CAMP: The STEM Magnet Program at Montgomery Blair High School is excited to offer “Cup of Java”, a new introductory computer science and Java programming class that teaches CS topics to middle school girls for free. The purpose of this class is to expose younger girls to the field of computer science, and we aim to encourage the girls’ interests in fields of STEM throughout our class through fun programming activities and other Java related topics. Over the course of 7 weeks during the summer, girls will be taught basic Java programming skills and about the importance and implementation of computer science in our society today (please view the infographic below for further details). As passionate computer science students, we aim to share this fascinating area of STEM with younger girls and hope they will find similar interests in STEM related fields. The infographic includes detailed information regarding the class as well as a link to an online form which students can use to register.
