MCPS Middle School Athletics Registration Process Letter  / Spanish Letter

As the Fall Athletic season wraps up this week, registration for the Winter sports season opens Monday, October 27th.  All 7th and 8th graders interested in trying out for the Boys' and Girls' Basketball teams need to submit their online registration through the ParentVue Portal.  

Winter '26 interscholastic athletics online registration will be submitted through the ParentVUE Portal, opening on October 27, 2025.

Both the ParentVUE portal registration and supporting documents (SR-8 Doctors Physical and Medical Clearance) must be completed prior to the 1st tryout.

  • Girls’ Basketball tryouts begin on Tuesday, December 9th and run through Thursday, December 11th from 3:10-4:25 each day.
  • Boys’ Basketball tryouts begin on Tuesday, December 16th and run through Thursday, December 18th from 3:10-4:25 each day.

 

All athletics practices and contests are held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays when it is a full day of school.  Practices are 3:10-4:25 and all basketball games start promptly at 3:20.
