If you would like to be a school volunteer or chaperone a school event/ field trip, MCPS has updated requirments that must be completed. All chaperones and volunteers MUST complete the volunteer training found here. Parents and guardians should be using Parentvue to access the training. Community volunteers without Parentvue should be completeing the community volunteer training found here. The online walkthrough of how to access the course is found here. Trainings have an expiration date and must be completed every 3 school years. While the volunteer training above is required, MCPS suggests parents and volunteers also complete a fingerprint and background check through the MCPS background screening office. More information is available at https://www.montgomeryschoolsmd.org/departments/security/fingerprint/. There are certain events/ field trips where fingerprinting will be required.
