Burnt Mills Elementary School has been selected by the Montgomery County Department of Transportation to participate in a Safe Routes to School Walkability Study during the 2026–2027 school year.

The study will examine the sidewalks, crossings, and other pedestrian routes students use when traveling to and from school. The goal is to identify opportunities to improve safety and accessibility.

Parents and guardians are encouraged to complete a brief, 10-minute community survey and share their transportation needs and safety concerns. Your feedback will help Montgomery County prioritize future safety improvements around our school.
