Ms. Stephanie Sheron, Principal
I grew up in a small suburb of New York City in Northern New Jersey. I came to Maryland to attend Johns Hopkins University and received a B.A. in History. After college I continued my education through Johns Hopkins and pursued my masters in secondary social studies education. Upon graduation in 2001 I joined Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) as a middle school social studies teachers. Over the course of 18 years I have served MCPS as a teacher, team leader, resource teacher, Assistant School Administrator, Assistant Principal, Principal Intern, and now a principal. I am very excited to serve the students, staff, and families of Briggs Chaney Middle School and look forward to building a learning community through equity, relationships, and rigor.
Dr. Natasha Booms, Assistant Principal
I'm Dr. Natasha Booms has I have been an assistant principal at Briggs Chaney school for the past 3 years. I grew up in the Maryland areas and have worked for MCPS for 18 years. I earned my BA from UMBC in political science, my Masters from Towson University in Education and my doctorate from UMES in Educational Leadership. I previously taught Social Studies for several years on the Middle and High School levels. I'm married and in my spare time I love to travel with my husband, family and friends. While I have traveled to African, Europe, the UK, and Central America, my most favorite place to travel is anywhere in the Caribbean. I also loves to cook for my family and friends in my spare time.
Mr. Micah Wiggins, Assistant Principal
Mr. Micah Wiggins is a lifelong educator. He was educated and a graduate of the Virginia Beach City Public Schools (VBCPS). He received his Bachelor’s Degree in History and Secondary Education Certification from Old Dominion University, Norfolk, VA and he also completed a pre-graduate program in Historical Research from the College of William and Mary. Mr. Wiggins completed a Master’s Degree in Education with a concentration in Administration and Supervision from Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, MD. After completing his teaching phase as a social studies teacher in VA, NC, and MD. Mr. Wiggins began the administrative phase of his career at Walter Johnson High School. He has also served as an administrator at Albert Einstein, Quince Orchard, and Richard Montgomery High Schools. This year he moved to Briggs Chaney Middle School to join our administrative team.
