Dear Grade 11 Students and Families,

This message is to inform you that on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, MCPS will offer the SAT, free of charge to all Grade 11 students, at B-CC High School. Please note that ALL 11th grade students are automatically registered; no action is required on their end. We will also offer a make-up opportunity for excused absences on Thursday, March 19. 

As well, English 11 classes will conduct a Student Readiness Check (SRC) on February 24, 25, or 26th to ensure that the students' technology is prepared for test day. Students should bring their fully-charged, school-issued chromebook on that day AND on test day. 

Following the SRC, students will be able to participate in the optional Student Survey with parent/caregiver’s consent. The College Board gives students and families complete discretion regarding any voluntary information they provide as part of the Student Survey. Information is gathered for group reporting, analysis to ensure the exams are fair for all groups, connecting students with potential colleges or scholarship opportunities, and for research.

To provide consent for the optional Student Survey, this signed consent form is required. If you are interested, please open the link and follow the directions by February 26. NOTE: Whether or not students participate in the optional Student Survey, they will still participate in SAT School Day.
