PTA
The Westbrook PTA is a strong and active organization of parents and teachers working together on behalf of our children. All parents are welcome to join the PTA, and all parents are welcome to attend PTA meetings, generally held the first Tuesday of the month.
The Westbrook PTA funds and coordinates a number of classes, clubs and events to enrich our students’ experience at school. With the guidance of our dedicated volunteers, the PTA:
- Coordinates before- and after-school programs for students, including French and Spanish language classes; art, keyboarding, piano, photography and science classes.
- Sponsors a growing number of clubs, including Eco-Defenders, Homework, and Geography clubs.
- Hosts a number of assemblies, including cultural arts and science presentations.
- Supports the Community of Caring program at Westbrook, sponsoring events that help students better understand and work with their peers and their community.
- Supports Spirit Days, including picnics at the beginning and end of the school year, Skate Night, Family Bingo Night and International Night.
Parent volunteers organize several fundraisers that are wonderful social events. The Book Fair and Carnival have been held at Westbrook since the 1940’s, and are eagerly awaited and attended by the Westbrook community. Local restaurants also help Westbrook raise money while giving deserving parents a night out of the kitchen.
Westbrook is a strong and vibrant school community thanks to the time and energy parents and guardians devote to the school. We hope you will join in the vital contributions of the PTA.
Thank you for stopping by. We'll see you around Westbrook!
