Guide to Enrollment

Once you verify that Westbrook is your school, please contact us to set up a time for enrollment. Enrollment may be done year round at any time. In order to enroll you must have information for the following. See complete details here: Quick Guide to Enrollment.

 

Required Documentation

1. Proof of Age. Children age 5 by September 1, 2017, and not age 21 on the first day of school are eligible for enrollment in MCPS for the 2015-16 school year.

2. Proof of Residency. If you are living with a friend or family member, please complete the Shared Housing Form http://www.montgomeryschoolsmd.org/departments/forms/pdf/335-74.pdf

3. Proof of Immunization.

2. PreK Experience Verification

3. Race and Ethnicity Identification

4. Student Emergency Information

5. Authorization to Request Records (If Transferring from a school outside MCPS)

If you are requesting a transfer to stay at or leave Westbrook, please review and complete the Change of School Assignment (COSA) form.

Events to Help You Learn More

Kindergarten parents can learn more about Westbrook through a variety of central outreach events. 

All dates can be confirmed on the Westbrook Calendar or by calling the Main Office at 240-740-1040.

Early November:  "Kindergarten Coffee" general information session for parents only; held in the morning.

April: "Kindergarten Orientation" (sometimes referred to as "Kindergarten Round-Up") is the date of student registration BY APPOINTMENT with Westbrook.  It also includes a visit to Kindergarten class by incoming student.  Check MCPS Kindergarten Orientation for Westbrook's given date and then call Westbrook at 240-740-1040 after March 1 to make your registration appointment.

Late August: "Westbrook Open House" is all-school open house for parents and students.

First day of school: MCPS will set and confirm academic calendar for coming year in January.

MCPS Kindergarten Information

At the November "Kindergarten Coffee" for new parents, Kindergarten team-lead Mrs. Natalie Atkinson presented "A Day in the Life" of a Westbrook Kindergarten student. Westbrook's enrollment secretary presented the Quick Facts on Kindergarten Registration.  Print out this copy and use it to prepare for Kindergarten Orientation day.
