Circulation
Students are encouraged to visit the Media Center on a regular basis for selection of leisure reading materials. A student must check with the classroom teacher for an appropriate book selection time.
Books are checked out for a two-week period.
- Kindergartners: 1 book
- First Graders: 2 books
- Second Graders: 2 books
- Third Graders: 3 books
- Fourth Graders: 3 books
- Fifth Graders: 3 books
Lost and Damaged Materials
- A student is responsible for the care of all library books checked out in his/her name.
- Overdue notices are sent home approximately one week after a book is due.
- Bills for lost material are sent home three months after the due date. (Sooner at the end of the school year!)
- Bills for damaged material will be sent home immediately.
- "Missing" books should be reported to the Media Center staff as soon as possible. Students are permitted to continue to check out material when Media Staff have been notified by parents of any missing materials.
