About Our School
Our Mission for 2011-2012
During the 2011-2012 school year, we will advance the level of the achievement of all Viers Mill Elementary School students' reading comprehension in all content areas.
All students will exceed the state guidelines for adequate yearly progress in reading as measured on the MSA tests. We will achieve our goal through high quality teaching, effective use of resources, and empowerment of students, parents, and community members.
Nuestra Misión: Durante el año escolar 2011-2012, vamos a aumentar los logros de todos los estudiantes de Viers Mill en el área de comprensión de lectura en todas las materias. Todos los estudiantes van a sobrepasar las metas del estado del “Progreso Adecuado Anual” (AYP) en lectura como lo indicarán los resultados de los exámenes del estado de Maryland (MSA). Lograremos nuestras metas proporcionando una enseñanza de alta calidad, aprovisionando el uso eficaz de recursos y facilitando autoridad y responsabilidad por medio de la información que se les dará a nuestros estudiantes, padres y miembros de la comunidad.

Mission Statement
We believe that all students, regardless of race, gender or socioeconomic status, will experience a high level of learning at Viers Mill Elementary.
- Staff will be responsible for creating an environment that ensures academic success.
