Welcome to the Visual Arts Center

The MCPS Visual Art Center (VAC) is a highly regarded pre-college art portfolio development program

supported by MCPS since 1974 as a countywide "by application" program.

The VAC 4 year curriculum is designed to grow the creative talents and minds of students from 9th to 12th grade

and to prepare them to submit one or more AP Studio Art Portfolio exams while developing their

own personal art style. Students use their unique portfolios for college application and scholarship .

In the last 15 years VAC students have received more than $25 million dollars in scholarship offers.

The VAC was established by the Montgomery County Board of Education

and is located at Albert Einstein High School in Kensington, Maryland.
