Visit the Aquarium for just $1!
Dollar Days Weekend has been a tradition since the National Aquarium opened in 1981. It remains an important community event on the Aquarium’s calendar, and a celebration of the season of giving.
Please consider the following when attending Dollar Days Weekend:
- Tickets are limited, and are first come, first served; they cannot be purchased in advance or online.
- Lines will be long, so please dress for the weather!
- There will be no dolphin shows, but the amphitheater will be open for viewing the dolphins.
- The Polar Express™ 4-D Experience tickets may be purchased for $5 each.
- There will be no re-entry.
- Look for special dollar deals at the gift shops and cafes!
- Stroller check and lockers will be available, but no coat check.

Continuing Education Series Workshops Cyclones, Currents, and Climate

The workshop will include:
A presentation from a scientist from NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration).
Demonstrations of hands-on activities for your classroom, the IMAX film Hurricane on the Bayou.
Presentations of new weather and climate programs on Science On a Sphere.
Lunch and a $100 stipend for each participating teacher.

The workshop will include:
Presentations from researchers working in the field of astrobiology
Activities for the classroom
Lunch and a $100 stipend for each participating teacher.
The Maryland Science Center is embarking upon the development of an exhibit and a Davis Planetarium program on the topic of life on other worlds and look forward to your input as part of this workshop.
