Help Domestic Violence Victims and Earn Rewards
Want to win gift cards worth up to $50 for Chipotle, Starbucks, Panera, and sweetFrog? Northwood's National Honor Society is asking for donations to support the Betty Ann Krahnke Center in our campaign against domestic violence. Boxes will be stationed in the cafeteria and Media Center lobby until Friday, September 19th, and Northwood students who donate will automatically be entered for a chance to win gift cards! Students must attach one of the provided labels with their Student ID number to their donation to be entered. Needed items include: diapers and baby wipes, toiletries, new bedding, and cleaning supplies. Mr. Boorstein and Ms. Reazer will be sponsoring a National Voter Registration Day on Tuesday, September 23rd during lunch. It will be open to all students who will be 18 before November 4, 2014 and any interested members of the community and staff. SSL Hours Due September 26
ALL SUMMER SSL HOURS are due on Friday, September 26th. Forms can be submitted to Mrs. Endicter in room E112 or placed in the SSL folder found in the Main Office.
The PSAT will be administered on Wednesday, October 15th. Juniors,click here to print the form you need to sign up for the PSAT and return the form to the counseling office by Friday, October 10th.
Senior Unity Day
The Class of 2015 will participate in a day of fun, food, and unity on Tuesday, October 28th at Smokey Glen Farm. Seniors attending the trip are excused from Edison, internships, and school. The cost per student is $30 (cash, checks, credit card payments will be accepted), with permission slips and money due by Wednesday, October 22nd. Seven sports are open for a one-week trip to the city in 2015. Mr. Warrington will hold an interest meeting about the trip on Thursday, September 18th at 6 pm in A122.
The rigorous Middle College program gives students the opportunity to earn a high school diploma and an associate's degree from Montgomery College simultaneously.
Parking permits may be purchased within the first couple weeks of each semester. A student parking permit costs $37.50 per semester.
Saturday school classes begin on September 20th. In-person registration for the program begins on September 13th or parents can register online now.
The DCC will hold evening Options Fair meetings in the fall, including one at Northwood on Monday, September 22nd, from 7:00- 9:00 pm. (There will be a DCC special education presentation at 6:00 pm).
