ACES Program Information

Attention ALL 10th grade families!

Is your 10th grader going to be the first in your family to attend college in the United States? Are you worried about paying for college and whether your child will be ready for the next challenges of college? Then encourage your child to apply to the Achieving Collegiate Excellence & Success (ACES) program, a partnership between Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS), Montgomery College (MC), and the Universities of Shady Grove (USG).

The ACES program will help your child value responsibility, be independent, and never give up. Your child will receive a personal Academic Coach who will establish a one-on-one relationship and provide academic and college planning workshops. Ultimately, we expect excellence from ACES students and will work with your child closely as they work to achieve their goals and be successful in high school, college, and beyond.

If you believe your child would be a good fit for the ACES program, please go to https://aces.montgomerycollege.edu/form2015/and have your child complete an application by February 13, 2015. For more information you may also visit http://cms.montgomerycollege.edu/aces/ or contact Brad Pabian, ACES Academic Coach at Northwood High School at brad.pabian@montgomerycollege.edu
