Northwood Cheerleaders To Compete on November 21 |
Have you heard? The Northwood High Varsity Cheerleaders will be competing again on Saturday, November 21 at Blair High School. Doors open at 9 AM, so get there early to get parking & seating. The cheerleaders perform FIRST at 9:30 AM. Last year the cheerleaders placed 2nd & won the “Spirit Award”. No school has ever placed & taken home the spirit award. This year the cheerleaders are prepared to take home first. Tickets are going fast so don’t miss out on the exciting & gladiator spirit. Tickets are $4 and can be purchased at the door! Seating is limited! WEAR YOUR NHS COLORS! |
Woodland Clean-Up On November 22 |
| The TESS Academy, The Potomac Appalachian trail club and several other community organizations are sponsoring a woodland cleanup on Sunday, November 22 from 1-4 PM. All staff, students, and alumni are welcome. If interested, please meet at the stadium entrance. |
Early Release November 25; No School on November 26 & 27 |
| Students will be released from school early at 11:40 AM on Wednesday, November 25. There will not be any school on November 26 or 27 due to the Thanksgiving break. Classes will resume on Monday, November 30. |
Interim Grades Due November 30 |
| Students and parents, please note that interim grades are due on Monday, November 30. Make sure to check Edline to monitor student progress. |
Mandatory Winter Sports Meeting for Parents on December 1 |
| The mandatory Winter Sports Meeting for parents of winter athletes will be held on Tuesday, December 1 from 7 –8 PM in the auditorium. |

For its fall musical, the Academy of Musical Theatre will present The Wedding Singer. Performances will take place on Thursday, December 3 (7 PM), Friday, December 4 (7 PM), and Saturday, December 5 (2 PM & 7 PM). Tickets prices are $8 for students, $10 for general seating, and senior citizens are free. |
