that all students have a right to fail. It is the right of all students to
succeed. All of us have the responsibility to preserve that right and to
promote success for every student through our commitment to our core values of Respect
and Responsibility. In this way we will create a Culture of Persistence, Tenacity and Collaboration.
To ensure that
all students are successful, we pledge to dedicate ourselves to three
priorities during the 2015-2016 school year. Everything we do will be related

Juniors: Register for the PSAT
The PSAT is a standardized test that provides firsthand practice
for the SAT®. It also gives you a chance to enter NMSC scholarship
programs and gain access to college and career planning tools. Forms for the PSAT can be returned to Ms. Levine in the counseling office.
ESOL Parent Night
are cordially invited to attend ESOL Parent Night! You will have the
opportunity to meet the ESOL staff, including teachers, counselors, and parent
outreach coordinator. ome

Cross Country Championships
Registration is open for the 7th Annual MCPS Consortia Cross-Country Running Championships on October 17th, 2015. Register by October 6, 2015 to
ensure your name gets on the T-Shirt. Races begin with the elementary school race at noon. Be sure to register ahead of time if possible. More information is available here
Gladiator Office Hours
Office hours for all teachers are now posted. You can find them here or by using the link on the main menu to the left.
Parking permits may be purchased within the first couple weeks of each semester. A student parking permit costs $37.50 per semester. More information, and the necessary forms, are available here.
Northwood Pink Out
Pink Out T-Shirts will be on sale October 5th to
October 9th for $10. All proceeds will be donated to the Susan G.
Komen Race for the Cure. The October 9th football game will be
a Pink Out game.

TEHST Open House
Thomas Edison High School of Technology offers tours for students, families, and school staff from November through April. The tours are given during the school day, at 8:30AM and 11:45AM. Reservations must be made and students are required to come with a parent or school chaperones. Please call 301-929-2049 for reservations or information.
The Fall Open House this year is on October 29, 2015 from 5pm-8pm. NO RESERVATIONS NEEDED for this event! Come meet the teachers, staff, and current students.

Spring Break 2016 Tour
There are still a few
more spots available for the trip, but they are filling up fast. Don't miss out! March 26, 2016 - April 2, 2016 students will have an opportunity to take a French Language Immersion tour of Paris. Each day of the tour is built around a different theme that ties together daily language classes, cultural activities and interactions with locals.
