☀️ Keep Your Math Skills Sharp This Summer! 🧮
Hello, Newport Mill Middle School Students and Families!
We want all of our students to head into the new school year feeling confident and ready to succeed. While summer is a time for relaxation, it’s also easy to lose some of those hard-earned math skills between June and September.
To help minimize the "summer slide" and keep your brain active, the Math Department has put together Optional Summer Math Resources for all rising 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th graders!

📝 How to Access Your Materials
Click the link below to open our central Summer Math Directory. From there, you can find the specific resources for your upcoming math class:

🔍 What’s Inside?
  • Rising Grade-Level Math Packets: Targeted practice problems to review essential concepts.
  • Answer Keys: Provided so students and parents can check their work and track progress.
  • IXL Practice Links: Specific IXL skills to practice online throughout the summer for interactive learning.
💡 How to Complete the Packets
Students do not need to worry if they don't have a printer! You can choose the method that works best for you:
  1. Print it out and work directly on the packet.
  2. Use a blank sheet of paper to write down and solve the problems.
Please Note: These summer packets are completely optional, but highly recommended. Spending just a little time each week practicing math will make a massive difference when we return to the classroom in September!
Have a wonderful, fun, and safe summer break!
