A Note from Mr. Hart
Hello Luxmanor Family!
My name is Mr. Hart, I am the Physical Education teacher here at Luxmanor. First I would like to say I am very excited about my second year in the Owl family, last year was a blast! I have another great year planned for our owls in 2017-2018 filled with learning new skills, practicing respect and good sportsmanship, and as always having as much fun as possible! This fall we will be starting out with our basketball and soccer units, learning all the skills of how to dribble and shoot in both sports. In mid-October we will be starting one of my favorite units, and passions in life, Fitness! We will learn all about new exercises, how to work and stretch different muscle groups, and learn about heart rate, taking your pulse, and goal setting. Around the holiday time we will have our annual Winter Wonderland which is always a great time for the kids and sets off a great mood heading into the holidays.
Coming back from winter break and setting the New Year off right we will bring out the mats and begin gymnastics, learning all about different rolls, balances, and weight transfers. Not long after that, around February, we will have our Jump Rope for Heart event which was a HUGE success last year. We raised over $4,000!! As we head into spring time we learn all about skills used in spring such as baseball, tennis, badminton, pickle ball, and even Frisbee! As I said before, good sportsmanship and teamwork will be emphasized throughout the year. Be sure your child always brings the appropriate attire including tennis shoes on their PE day, we don't want any stubbed toes! Thank you parents for everything you do and I look forward to a phenomenal second year with the Owls!
