Back to School 2017 - Important Dates

Please mark your calendars for the following important dates:

Tuesday, August 29, 2017 - New Parent Meeting 7:00 p.m. - Media Center We invite all new parents to Luxmanor to attend our New Parent Meeting. The purpose of this meeting is to provide you with information about Luxmanor, review school policies and procedures and answer any questions you may have about the beginning of school. Those who attend the Kindergarten Parent Meeting do not need to attend this meeting. This meeting is for adults only.

Wednesday, August 30, 2017 - Kindergarten Parent Meeting 7:00 p.m. - AP Room This meeting will provide kindergarten parents with information to get your child off to a great school year. We will review the kindergarten program, review school and kindergarten procedures and answer any questions you might have about the beginning of school. This meeting is for adults only.

Thursday, August 31, 2017 - Open House 2:00 - 2:45 p.m. The purpose of the open house is to welcome students back to school, help reduce first day jitters and for students to meet their teachers and find their classrooms before school begins. Please remember that this is not a time to engage teachers in individual conferences about your child. The open house will end at 2:45 p.m. Students and parents are welcome to come to the All Purpose Room for popsicles following the Open House.

Tuesday, September 5, 2017 - First Day of School, PTA Meeting and Volunteer Fair, 7:00 p.m.

Wednesday, September 13, 2017 - Back to School Night, 7:00 p.m. At 7:00 p.m. we will host our annual Back to School Night. You may report directly to your child's classroom. All parents are invited and encouraged to attend. This is an opportunity to meet your child's teacher and hear about the exciting learning opportunities your child will be engaged in this school year.

Thursday, September 14, 2017 - New Parent Meet and Greet - 8:45 - 10:00 a.m., AP Room We invite all new parents to Luxmanor to join us to meet current and new parents.

Friday, September 15, 2017 - Back to School Picnic, 6:00 p.m. The Luxmanor PTA's annual Back to School Picnic will be from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on the back field. Please see the flyer that will be distributed to the students in the first week of school for further details.
