Partners in Learning

The Commonweal Foundation's Partners in Learning after school tutoring program is offered to third through fifth grade students, who could benefit from intensive support in reading and mathematics. Students are identified to participate in Partners in Learning after analyzing qualitative and quantitative data. Tutoring is provided by Glen Haven Elementary staff. Students receive these services Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, October through May. Additionally, the program is offered during the summer. The Commonweal Foundation's Partners in Learning program conducts both a pre-assessment and a post-assessment to monitor student's academic achievement. 12/1/08

Math Resources to Help Your Child at Home

A variety of resources are available for parents to help their children achieve in math. For parents with students in prekindergarten through Grade 5, online math newsletters provide information on what students are learning in math class, and offer ways for parents to support their child's learning at home. The newsletters are available in English, Spanish, Chinese, French, Korean and Vietnamese.
Online parent and student study guides also are available for students taking Math 6 courses at the following site:
