Parents & Students,
This will be my last month of teaching art for this school year since I will be going on maternity leave after spring break. My little girl is due April 8th, so there is a possibility I may come back for a few days in April, but it’s unlikely. I will be back next year though, so don’t worry! Mrs. Anita Levine will be here for the months of April, May, and June. She is a WONDERFUL art teacher who was here at Flower Hill for 25 years before I came along. Many of the students know and love her. It should be a wonderful transition!
In this last month, we will be finishing up all of our clay projects by painting them and then they will be ready to take home. We will also be doing some other exciting projects. For example, 5th graders will be starting their self-portraits, 1st graders will be creating beautiful castles, and Kindergarten will be making adorable owls using the crayon resist technique.
I will miss you over the summer but I know that you will all do very well with Mrs. Levine!
We are Flower Hill artists who like to look at art, talk about art, and make art. We know that art experiences:
