Flower Hill Elementary students learn by growing
Gazette - Sylvia Carignan
Flower Hill Elementary School students can now take their classroom experiments outdoors with the installation of a new garden in the school’s courtyard. Karla Kratovil, the school’s Parent-Teacher-Student Association president, said Flower Hill received a $3,500 grant from Lowe’s, which it will use for the garden. The school’s first-graders have planted the vegetable beds, where broccoli, spinach, carrots and peas are growing.
