November News
The first marking period has flown by so quickly! As November gears up and the temperature begins to drop we find ourselves beginning Geometry in Math 5, Decimals and Measurement in Math 6, Colonial America in Social Studies, and Poetry in Reading. Students will share Cultural Heritage projects November 17th! We are looking forward to seeing all their hard work! Students are also finishing their Mystery Book projects and will be reading Historical Fiction for November’s book project on.
We are preparing for our first field trip to Mount Vernon, the home of George Washington, November 5. Hopefully the weather holds so that we can experience what life was like in the 18th century. Chaperones will be notified if needed. Please get those permission slips and money turned into your teacher.
We look forward to seeing you at parent-teacher conferences, which are November 11th and 12th. A reminder will be sent home with your scheduled day and time. If you have a conflict and cannot conference on one of the two days, just send a note to your child’s homeroom teacher, with a day and time that works for you. A phone conference can also be scheduled.
