What happens in the Library Media Center?
Instruction in the library media center leads students to take responsibility for their own learning. Through text and technology, children learn that the answers to their questions are accessible and tangible. We lead students to not only find answers to their questions, but also to spark their pursuit of further knowledge. Ultimately, it is the goal of Farmland ’s library media program to ignite an excitement and enthusiasm for reading and research in students.
Vision
Our vision is to provide students with the knowledge and tools they need to become independent problem-solvers, life-long learners, and life-long readers.
Mission
The mission of Farmland Elementary School’s library media program is to ensure that students and staff are able to effectively access, evaluate, and use ideas and information.
