Churchill Summer Symposium 2017 Registration Link

 

 

Churchill’s Summer Symposium 2017 (NOT Regional Summer School)

Churchill will once again be hosting our Summer Symposium this year for our incoming 9th graders and current Churchill students.  Dates are June 26 – August 4, 2017 for all credited classes.  Non-credited classes begin July 10th.   Please check the Summer Symposium Brochure in the News section below for classes and dates offered.

  • Junior Class College Fair Field Trip April 5

     Montgomery County Fairgrounds, April 5, 10:00 a.m.-12:00 noon. Permission forms required. Deadline to register March 31  The College Fair is supported by Montgomery County Public Schools; all high school juniors are given the opportunity to attend the fair during the school day.  The entrance to the College Fair is free and, this year, bus transportation is also free. Signed permission forms are required.  Please click the title for complete information. Parents and students of any grade level may also visit the College Fair on the evening of Wednesday April 5, 6:30-8:30 p.m.    

  • National Honor Society

    Applications for Second Semester Juniors are NOW available for the National Honor Society.  They can be picked up in the Media Center, Main Office, or with Ms. Frank in room 218. They are due on April 18th.

  • Senior Parent Information Night

    A Senior Parent Informational Night will be held on March 27th at 7 pm in the Churchill auditorium. We will go over important dates and expectations for seniors and will be available to answer questions. 

  • Jostens Graduation Gowns

    The last day to order a graduation gown is Friday, March 24. Please go to Jostens.com if you have not ordered your graduation gown. 

  • On-Line Course Registration information

    Registering for the online MCPS courses (Comprehensive Health Education, Foundations of Technology A/B, and Foundations of Computer Science A/B) is a multi-step process. The Student eLearning office provides information about the MCPS registration process. Please be aware of this multi-step process as you begin.

  • Alyse Goff Memorial Scholarship

    This scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior of Winston Churchill High School who will attend college at the University of Maryland. Deadline to apply is April 6.  Click title for more information and a copy of the application.

  • AP Exams Administered May 1-12

    Click title for exam dates and times.  Students are excused from class for the entire day on which they test. Questions regarding AP testing can be directed to  Mrs. Zimmerman in the College/Career Center Luana_P_Zimmerman@mcpsmd.org.

  • We Are Churchill Campaign

    Attention WCHS Students! On Wednesday, March 22nd and Wednesday, March 29th during lunch, students are invited to stop by the cafeteria to show the diversity/community of Churchill through our “We Are Churchill” campaign.  Please be a part of our photo and video campaign.  There will be food!  Hope to see you there!
