The art program at CCES is aligned with National and State Art EducationStandards.
The effects of the art program do not end in the classroom, but extend into the personal and academic development of each student. Students also develop the ability to concentrate, consider various points of view, problem solve, think creatively, work as a member of a team, and persevere in a task.
"When a child studies the arts, significant elements of his or her education find focus and expression." Excerpt: Growing Up Complete.

As someone who grew up in Montgomery County, I am very excited to be experiencing MCPS from the other side of the desk! I graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Art Education and a minor in Art History from Towson University. In my free time I enjoy photography, reading, going to the movies, and spend time outdoors with my sassy dog, Penny. I look forward to getting to know all of the young artists at CCES!
