Library Hours and Phone Number
Monday - Friday
9:15 A.M. - 3:25 P.M.
Students visit the library for book exchange once each week with their class. Students may make additional visits to the library with the permission of their teacher between 9:30 A.M. and 1:00 P.M. as needed.
Kindergarten and 1st grade students may check out 1 book at a time.
2nd - 5th graders may check out 2 books at a time.
All materials are due one week from the date they are checked out. Books may be renewed multiple times as long as other students do not have them on hold.
At Candlewood, library instruction is scheduled flexibly. This means that students do not have a set time each week when they come to the library. Instead, they come to the library to work on research projects every day for an entire week about twice a quarter. They also have literature lessons a few times a quarter when they come to the library to listen to a story or hear book talks about books they might like to read.
