New Immunization Requirements for Students Entering Grade 7 for 2024-2025
All students entering 7th grade are required to have two vaccinations - a Tdap (Tetanus diphtheria and pertussis) and a Meningococcal (MCV4) vaccine - by the first day of 7th grade. Many students will have annual physicals and also have to report their latest Tetanus vaccination for Outdoor Education during 6th grade. Therefore, we highly recommend taking your child to the pediatrician during 6th grade to ensure they have the proper vaccinations and getting an updated vaccination record from the doctor so that they can turn it in directly to the Health Room.
7th Grade immunization requirements: Meningococcal (MCV) & Tdap (Tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis/whooping cough). Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services is offering immunizations by appointment in August. Please review the MCDHHS Immunization Clinic Schedule.
