College Visits

Juniors and Seniors are welcome to attend any of the college admissions rep visits held at Blake. These visits usually take place in the College & Career Center unless otherwise noted.

Students must sign up on Naviance/Family Connection, connection.naviance.com/blake, print out the Confirmation Page and take it to be signed by their teacher.  This is their pass.*

College Campus Visits

Juniors & Seniors may request up to 5 school absences per year for college campus visits, but it is their responsibility to make up all classwork missed. The parent must send in a note to the attendance office a week in advance stating that the student will be out of school for a college campus tour/information session. The principal approves these absences, provided the student is in good academic standing.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY NATIONAL COLLEGE FAIR

April 10-11, 2018 - @ Montgomery County Fairgrounds in Gaithersburg, MD
Blake Juniors will be invited to attend this annual field trip on either April 10 or April 11 from 9:30-noon at the Montgomery County fairgrounds. Permission forms will be made available in March with signed permission forms due April 4. MCPS provides school buses to transport students for $5.00 each and students should bring a bag lunch. Students will register and pay online (instructions on the back of the permission form. This is an opportunity to speak with college representatives from hundreds of colleges and gather viewbooks. Colleges That Change Lives College Fair

TBA - May, 7:00 pm @ the Washington Hilton Hotel 1919 Connecticut Ave. NW, Washington, D.C. These fairs are offered all over the U.S. They are coming to the DC area on May 22. Featured are the 40 colleges that Loren Pope wrote about in his exceptional resource book, Colleges That Change Lives.
