Welcome to B-CC Music 2014-2015! Grammy cover 

The B-CC Music Department has earned 2 Grammy Foundation awards and offers six instrumental ensembles, three choral ensembles, guitar, piano, and IB music classes. Extracurricular activities include the pep band, drum line/percussion ensemble, pit orchestra and small quartets and combos. Nearly 500 students are enrolled in a music class each semester.

CONCERT ATTIRE  

A reminder that all musicians must wear the concert attire. Females wear the designated long black dress and males may wear any comparable tuxedo. The Advanced and Concert Choirs also need the double strand choker necklace (item #1076) from the website and robes. The Music Boosters Community Closet still has some garments available. If you missed the sale and still need the required attire, contact MusicBoostersBCC@gmail.com to make an appointment for your child to try on outfits.

Spring Music Trip 

 
The B-CC Music Department is pleased to announce the Spring Trip will be Thursday, March 26-Sunday, March 29, 2015 in Chicago, Illinois. Please review the letter and itinerary, then submit the three required forms below with the deposit* or full payment by December 19.
 
Please complete the forms using these PDFs. Save the documents, then open them using Adobe Acrobat Reader version 8 or higher. Use the Fill & Sign Tools to type the information, then print the forms and return them with the deposit* to school. Completed forms are scanned and taken on the trip so that the students' emergency information is available, if needed. Handwritten forms are not as legible and additional work must be done to make them searchable, once scanned. If questions about completing the forms by computer, please email MusicBoostersBCC@gmail.com.

Online payments ensure that the funds are received immediately and you will receive a confirmation. Spring Trip payments are made through the MCPS system (not Pay4SchoolStuffOnline) so it may be necessary for you to create an account. To use the system, you will need either the User Name and Password that you created previously, or your student’s 6-digit school ID. Please view the instructions for making online payments, click the link below, and select “PAY OBLIGATION” on the top horizontal navigation bar. 
 
   
To pay by check, make it payable to “B-CC High School Music Department” and send it to Mr. White, Music Director, at school.  
   

Music Booster Volunteer Positions - Help Needed!

Urgent help is needed for the Silent Auction that will be held at the Friday, February 20, 2015 Cabaret. A Silent Auction Coordinator is needed to solicit donations. Please contact MusicBoostersBCC@gmail.com if you can take on this fun and important leadership role.

2014 Chorus White House 
The B-CC Chorus performed at the White House on December 9 for holiday tours. It was a grueling but exciting day as they sang for almost 50 minutes followed by a 15-minute break and then they sang again for another hour.
 
JazzComboPanera2014
The B-CC Jazz Combo performed at Panera in Bethesda during the Annual Fundraiser on November 29. Music Director, Marshall White, joins the musicians on trumpet.  
 
 Election Day 2014 Jazz Combo
The Jazz Combo also performed during the B-CC PTSA Election Day Bake Sale Fundraiser. 
  
 

 BrassQuintet 

The B-CC Brass Quintet performed, under the direction of Music Director Marshall White, at the Bethesda Veterans Day ceremony.View coverage of the event by WTTG Fox 5 News.

The B-CC Choir performed, under the direction of Music Teacher Lisa Itkin, at the third annual State of the Schools event November 11 at The Music Center at Strathmore.
