Welcome to B-CC Music 2014-2015! Grammy cover 

The B-CC Music Department has earned 2 Grammy Foundation awards and offers six instrumental ensembles, three choral ensembles, guitar, piano, and IB music classes. Extracurricular activities include the pep band, drum line/percussion ensemble, pit orchestra and small quartets and combos. Nearly 500 students are enrolled in a music class each semester.

CONCERT ATTIRE  

A reminder that all musicians must wear the concert attire. Females wear the designated long black dress and males may wear any comparable tuxedo. The Advanced and Concert Choirs also need the double strand choker necklace (item #1076) from the website and robes. The Music Boosters Community Closet still has some garments available. If you missed the sale and still need the required attire, contact MusicBoostersBCC@gmail.com to make an appointment for your child to try on outfits.

In Case You Missed the Jazz Band . . . 

The annual performance of the B-CC Jazz Band at the Bethesda Blues & Jazz Supper Club on May 26, 2015 was better than ever! Highlights of the evening included performances by B-CC alumni and a collection of songs from the Music Teachers. Listen to the Jazz Band's rendition of "I Got Plenty o' Nuttin'" as well as a snippet of "I Wish" that will leave you wanting more so mark your calendar for the 2016 performance when it's announced.
 

Cabaret & Silent Auction a Great Success!

The spring B-CC Music Boosters Cabaret & Silent Auction was a fun evening of music, food, and drinks to help raise money for B-CC's wonderful music programs. Appreciation to the Silent Auction donors (listed below) for providing an excitingly wide variety of items! A big shout-out to Georgian Feast caterers for donating their time to provide unique and delicious Russian delicacies--please think of them for your next event.

2014 Chorus White House 
The B-CC Chorus performed at the White House on December 9 for holiday tours. It was a grueling but exciting day as they sang for almost 50 minutes followed by a 15-minute break and then they sang again for another hour.
 
JazzComboPanera2014
The B-CC Jazz Combo performed at Panera in Bethesda during the Annual Fundraiser on November 29. Music Director, Marshall White, joins the musicians on trumpet.  
 
 Election Day 2014 Jazz Combo
The Jazz Combo also performed during the B-CC PTSA Election Day Bake Sale Fundraiser. 
  
 

 BrassQuintet 

The B-CC Brass Quintet performed, under the direction of Music Director Marshall White, at the Bethesda Veterans Day ceremony.View coverage of the event by WTTG Fox 5 News.
