COURSE SELECTION FOR NEXT YEAR
Counselors will be meeting with all B-CC students during this first week in February through their Social Studies classes to provide information about course registration for the 2010-2011 school year. Counselors will be passing out course registration cards and the MCPS course registration bulletin (also found on the MCPS website at http:// apps.montgomeryschoolsmd.org/coursebulletin/default.aspx ).
Registration cards should be turned back in to the student’s SOCIAL STUDIES TEACHER by Wednesday, February 10th.
The following week, counselors will be meeting with students individually to discuss their course selections and also give them a current transcript.
Additionally, parents are invited to attend “Course Selection Night” on Monday February 8th if you have specific questions about courses. This is very helpful for parents of rising 9th graders and parents new to the community but all are welcome to attend. Resource teachers and counselors will be available to answer questions. Students can get additional information about AP, IB and elective courses by attending the “Course Info Fair” also held on Monday, February 8th in the attendance atrium during lunch.
