To provide students who are highly involved in the Bethesda-Chevy Chase HS Music Department leadership, performance, and volunteer opportunities in the school and community.
Tri-M is the Music Honors Society at B-CC (it stands for Modern Music Masters). Our goals in Tri-M goals are to recognize those students who have excelled at music, and to help bring music to the community. We recognize students by accepting them into the society, and we share music with the community by bringing together all of the members of Tri-M to organize music-related events. We have helped the community by hosting the MCPS high school orchestra festival at B-CC, and by working backstage at our school's music concerts. We have also organized community events including Sounds for Seniors and Battle of the Bands.

In December 2007, the members of Tri-M, along with other eager members of the B-CC music community, came together to organize a concert for the senior citizens at Springhouse Assisted Living called Sounds for Seniors. The performances included all sorts of instrument solos as well as some groups, which included a euphonium trio, the jazz combo, and an Indy rock band. All of the performances went very well, and were received very enthusiastically by the audience.
