Tri-M is the Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School chapter of the Modern Music Masters National Honor Society. The honorary society is designed to recognize students for their achievements in academics and music. B-CC Tri-M is a student-driven organization that aims to inspire other students and the community by sharing the joy of music through leadership and service projects.
New members are accepted at the beginning of each school year. All forms must be submitted to Mr. White by October 4. New membership is open to Sophomores and Juniors who fit the criteria.
Meetings are held in the Instrumental Music room during lunch the first Monday of each month. Meeting dates will be posted.
Battle of the Bands
The B-CC Battle of the Bands is a long-standing B-CC musical tradition. Bands are invited from the B-CC music community to perform their songs in a friendly competition. People who come to watch the concert pay for tickets, and the proceeds go to the B-CC Music department.
Sounds for Seniors
As part of our community service, each Tri-M member is required to perform at one “Sounds for Seniors” event. Dates will be posted.
