Vision and Mission
Our vision is to create a community of learners. The mission of our library media program is to help students, staff, and community to become effective life-long learners and users of information. This mission is accomplished by:
- nurturing a love of reading and an appreciation of books;
- providing intellectual and physical access to a variety of interesting and reputable materials in all formats;
- providing instruction to foster competence in accessing, evaluating, and using print and electronic resources;
- collaborating with teachers to design and implement authentic learning experiences that meet the academic and personal developmental needs of all students.
K & 1st Grades -
1 book for 1 week
2nd - 5th Grades - 2 books for 1 week
All materials must be checked out at the circulation desk. Students
who have overdue material may not check out other material until the overdue
material is returned. Students may check out additional items for special
projects/assignments with approval by the media specialist or the media
assistant. All, with the exception of graphic novels, materials can be renewed
unless the material is on hold for another patron.
Overdue & Lost Material
fines will be incurred for overdue books, but students are responsible for
paying for lost or books damaged beyond repair. Overdue notices will be
distributed to classroom teachers at least once a month.
