2014 Spring Testing

This spring, Montgomery County Public Schools students will participate in the annual administration of state tests. This is a transition year between the Maryland School Assessments (MSA) and new tests being developed by the Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC). Most of our students in Grades 3–8 will take the MSA in reading and mathematics, which is being administered for the final time this year. However, a random sample of students in each school will participate in a trial run—called a “field test”—of the new PARCC assessments. Please click the link below to read a letter from Superintendent Joshua P. Starr and for more information about spring testing about this transition year. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask your child’s teacher or school principal.
