Kindergarten Registration Information
How exciting that you have a child that is ready to join the rising Kindergarten class at Wayside Elementary School for the 2026-2027 school year.
Online registration for Kindergarten for the 2026-2027 school year is now OPEN. Children who will be 5 years old by Sept. 1, 2026 are eligible to register. Registration will be online through the ParentVUE portal. If your family is new to MCPS, you will need to create a ParentVue account. The link is located on the right hand side of the page of the Kindergarten Enrollment webpage. If you are having difficulties, please refer to this support guide.
Please make sure to select the registration button located UNDER the 2026-2027 School Year heading. You will need to scroll to the bottom of the page once you click the OLR link.
Parents with students that have been in the MCPS system either through a PreK program, PEP program or any county services via child find – these students have already been assigned a student id. Please do not enroll online, rather compile and complete the requested forms/items below and either drop off or email to our secure email WS235OR@mcpsmd.org and we will register your child manually.
Required Documents
- Proof of Age (birth certificate)
- Parent Photo id (driver’s license) must match a parent name on the birth certificate.
- Proof of Residency (tax document, signed and executed lease, shared housing disclosure with supporting documents)
- Proof of Immunizations
