After-Prom

The Event

The After-Prom event, sponsored by the PTSA, is a drug & alcohol-free party following the prom for the students. The purpose of the party is to provide a safe environment with activities, food and prizes as an alternative to other parties. This activity is meant to be more enticing to our students than an evening of engaging in dangerous activities such as drinking, using drugs, or driving under the influence.

Who May Attend

The After-Prom is open to all juniors and seniors regardless of whether they attend the Prom.

Fundraising

Fundraisers, donations and sponsors raise approximately $8,000 to cover the cost of the After-Prom. The PTSA fundraises throughout the year. A big part of After-Prom is drawings for gifts for the students.  The PTSA After-Prom Committee accepts donations of electronics, gift cards, gift baskets, entertainment items and more. There are also many benefits to becoming a sponsor. Information about sponsorships is published in the Spring.

Volunteers

A successful After-Prom requires the efforts of many volunteers. As a member of the PTSA After-Prom Committee, you can help with planning and fundraising. Parents are also instrumental in providing ideas and decorations the weeks before the event, transforming the venue into the annual theme, and chaperoning/supervising the event which begins at midnight.
