Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month at Bayard Rustin Elementary
From September 15 to October 15, Bayard Rustin Elementary joins communities across the country in celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month. This is a time to honor the rich histories, cultures, and contributions of Americans whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America.
Throughout the month, our school will feature classroom activities, book displays, and special projects that highlight the diversity and achievements of Hispanic and Latinx communities. Students will have opportunities to explore inspiring stories, learn about influential figures, and discover the traditions that shape our multicultural society.
We invite families to take part in the celebration whether by sharing personal stories, recommending favorite books, or exploring resources together at home. Together, we can honor the voices and experiences that make our community vibrant and inclusive. Interested in sharing on the morning announcements? Fill out this form and bring the Mrs. West in the main office.
