Attendance Policy

We expect all students to arrive at school on time each day, with students seated and ready for instruction by 7:45 a.m. Regular attendance is crucial for academic success. Students are expected to attend all classes and arrive on time.

Tardy Policy

To address the ongoing issue of late arrivals, which have led to significant disruptions and lost instructional time, we are implementing a new electronic sign-in system using KioskVue. This system will improve accountability and make attendance reporting more efficient. When students arrive late to school or class, they will be required to scan their student ID, which will generate an excused or unexcused pass to class. Students demonstrating chronic tardiness will be offered after school or Saturday opportunities to make up missed assignments. 

• Class Transitions

Students have 5 minutes of transition time between classes. It is imperative that students manage their time accordingly.  If students are tardy to classes they must see a staff member at the attendance kiosk or Ms. Spinks at the attendance window for a tardy pass.  

Each time a student is absent or tardy to class, families will receive an email, phone call or text notification.
