Assistant Principal's Corner

    Cindy Chichester 

    I am honored to be the principal intern of Olney Elementary School. I look forward to working with a dedicated staff and community, continuing to provide all students with a positive educational experience through a high level instructional program.

    This will be my 13th year in education, with all of those years being spent with the Montgomery County Public Schools. I have taught 3rd, 4th, and 5th, as well as serving as a gifted and talented teacher, a math content coach, an instructional specialist and as an assistant principal. These experiences continue to drive my passion for education.  I received my undergraduate and graduate degree from Howard University in Curriculum and Instruction. I later pursued a post-masters certificate in Administration and Supervision from McDaniel College.

    I was raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. My husband and I live in Bowie, Maryland with our three children. I enjoy traveling and experiencing different cultures, running, bowling and most of all - spending time with my family!
