    Making Jack-o-lanterns

    It's a sunny, brisk October morning and Ms. Morse's class is making a family of jack-o-lanterns.  See if you can make one of your very own, by following their directions below.

     You will need the following materials:

    Highland View ES materials
    • black, brown, and orange colored construction paper
    • a glue stick or a bottle of glue
    • a pair of scissors
    • a pencil
    Follow these directions:

    1. Cut out a pumpkin shape. 2. Draw a face, a nose, and a mouth.

    3. Cut out a face, a nose, and a mouth. 4. Trace a stem and cut it out.

    5. Glue all the pieces onto the pumpkin shape.

    6. Now, you're almost done.
