We also have learned about the first woman doctor in the U.S., Elizabeth Blackwell.  We learned about her by watching a book on Bookflix, which is a Scholastic product.  This product, which contains many fiction and nonfiction ebooks, can be accessed through the Montgomery County Public Library, using your student's library card.

Kindergarteners have learned about circulation procedures including using a shelf marker, taking care of books, returning books on time and proper media center behavior. Students have learned about the Black-Eyed Susan student literature choice program.
