Personal Body Safety Lessons. MCPS is taking an active role in the prevention of child abuse and neglect through early prevention and intervention educaion

During the months of November and December, our school counselor and classroom teachers will be presenting lessons on the topic of child abuse and neglect.  The lessons are known as Personal Body Safety Lessons. Click the link for detailed information.    

Picture Day, Friday, October 25 has been completed! Thank you to our parent volunteers that helped making picture day run so smoothly and efficiently.

Americanism Essay Contest for 3rd through 5th graders

Each year, the American Legion Auxilary (ALA), Department of Maryland, sponsors an Americanism Essay Contest for students in grades 3-8.  Grade levels are divided into three groups.  Three awards in each of the three groups will be presented in each Unit, District and Department, with prizes at each level.  First place Department winners will be sent to the National Competition.  The contest time frame is November 1 - January 31.   Please click on this link for detailed information

Clearspring Hosts American Legion Post 171 in Damascus for the Flag Raising Ceremony

Join Clearspring students and staff as we host the American Legion Post 171 in Damascus in honoring the veterans, men, and women who have served honorably in the armed forces during the war eras prescribed by law on Friday, November 8 at 9:30 am at the front of the school.

Post Halloween Candy Giveback to the Troops!

 In response to overwhelming participation last year,  Clearspring will again be collecting unwanted or extra candy to send to our US Troops overseas.
