Step Right Up to our Bookworm Central Book Fair!

We are partnering with Bookworm Central for the second year in a row.  They are a local business out of Manassas, Virginia and we are excited to work with them again.  

Here is the schedule:

  • Monday, December 8th: Preview Day
      • Students preview the book fair and fill out a wish list.  
      • Look for their blue paper in their backpack!
  • Tuesday, December 9th through Thursday, December 11th:  Shopping Days  
      • The fair is open for shopping from 9:30 AM to 3:45 PM on these three days.  
      • Classroom teachers will have passes for them to shop at times that have the least impact on instruction.  
      • Please note: Items may sell out and we are not taking paid orders.  Students may need to select an alternate item from what they listed on their wish list. 
  • Friday, December 12th: Fair Pack Up 

All purchases support our school library.  Proceeds from the book fair are used to buy books to add to the library’s collection for all of our students to enjoy.  I tell students that if they are unable to purchase a book from the book fair for whatever reason, it will likely be added to the library’s collection for them to check out in the new year!  

Students can pay with cash, check made payable to Clarksburg Elementary School or eWallet.  We are not collecting tax.  eWallet allows family and friends to create a cashless/cardless payment option for students to use at a Bookworm Central Onsite Book Fair. While you set a maximum amount a student may spend, your card will only be charged for the actual amount spent. Your funds will not be rolled over into book fair credits, and you will not lose unspent funds. Visit bit.ly/BookwormCES and scroll down to set up an ewallet. 

If you would like to provide a gift of books to a Clarksburg ES staff member, you can purchase an eGift card for them.  Then they can select the items they would like to add to their classroom libraries.  Visit bit.ly/BookwormCES and scroll down to purchase an eGift card!
