(REMINDER) WCHS - Personal Mobile Device Policy - 2025-26

Personal Mobile Devices (cellphone) Policy - Please review the WCHS Updated cell phone/device policy. Like last school year, students will be expected to place their cellphones in "cubbies" at the beginning of class, and keep all other electronic devices (including tablets, watches, earbuds, etc.) off and out of sight in their book bags or lockers. This policy is in alignment with the new MCPS policies and regulations to reduce distractions during class. PMD's are allowed ONLY during the transitions between classes and during lunch.

 

Special Note on Personal Computers, Laptops, MacBooks, etc. 

These devices are NOT allowed for use in class. MCPS regulations have made this clear, and we cannot monitor or support external devices - often leading to increased distractions and even unsafe behaviors in some situations. Students are assigned and will be expected to use their MCPS Chromebook. Students who bring these devices to class will have them confiscated, just like any other PMD. We encourage parents to work with their student to keep these devices at home.
