ASVAB HSA AP EXAMS QUARTER & SEMESTER EXAMS MOCK ACT & MOCK SAT

ASVAB

Students in grades 10, 11 and 12 are eligible to take a career exploration assessment, the ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery). This three hour assessment is the most widely used multiple aptitude test battery in the world.  It assesses a student's ability to learn new skills and is a predictor of success in training and education programs.  The ASVAB test results provide a snapshot of current knowledge and skills.  The assessment is only administered once per year at no cost to the tester,  the 2013-14 year administration will be on (TBA), test results will be distributed and interpreted in person on TBA in room TBA during lunch. Contact Mrs. Zimmerman in the College/Career Center with any questions.

The tests will begin at 7:45 and end approximately 11:20 am.  

AP Exams

All students enrolled in advanced placement courses are expected to take the advanced placement exam.  Exams will be administered May 6-17.

Mock SAT and Mock ACT 

The Churchill Counseling Department, in cooperation with the PTSA, sponsors MOCK (practice) SAT and ACT tests.  For the small fee of $15, students have the opportunity to take a full practice test and obtain a score. View the schedule of dates:  Mock SAT and Mock ACT Opportunities 2013-2014   Registration forms can be downloaded from the news item on the home page approximately two weeks prior to the test date.

On exam days students are allowed to leave to study and work at home after the end of their exams if they have transportation.  Alternatively, they can opt to stay to study or work (alone or in groups) in the Media Center or some other available location.  There WILL be buses running at the usual end of school time (2:30pm) on these days so students can use those to get home.  There are no buses provided by the County to take your student home early. Students should only attend school on make-up days if they have an exam to make-up.
