Kindergarten Registation Is Open

How exciting that you have a child that is ready to join the rising Kindergarten class at Cashell Elementary School for the 2026-2027 school year.

Online registration for Kindergarten for the 2026-2027 school year is now OPEN. Children who will be 5 years old by Sept. 1, 2026 are eligible to register. Registration will be online through the  ParentVUE portal. If your family is new to MCPS, you will need to create a ParentVue account. The link is located on the right hand side of the page of the  Kindergarten Enrollment webpage.  If you are having difficulties, please refer to this support guide.

The faculty, staff and community of Cashell Elementary School are committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment that will afford every child who enters our school the opportunity to grow into an educated, strong and independent individual. Every child will be given the attention and focus needed to maximize his or her learning potential. We are determined to foster a relationship that allows our children to feel valued, respected, and confident. We will focus on not only academic achievement but also interpersonal growth and values in accord with our Character Counts program. We will create a motivating and enthusiastic environment that allows everyone to succeed. This will be accomplished through structured teaching, guidance, and communication by the faculty and staff in partnership with the parents of each child.

Did You Move? Are you Moving?

If you have moved or are moving soon, please notify us immediately. Please do not wait for us to find out through other means. We can assist you with transitioning to your child's new school. Whether it be another MCPS school, a private school, or a school out of the MCPS district, we are here to help. If you are transferring to another MCPS school, our registrars will partner to make the transition as smooth as possible. Please contact the school at 240-740-0560.
