*Burtonsville Elementary Career Day*– May 8, 2026!
We are excited to announce Burtonsville's Career Day, taking place on Friday, May 8, 2026. This special event gives our students the opportunity to explore the many different career paths available to them and to hear from inspiring professionals in our community.
We’re looking for parents, friends, and community members who would be willing to share their unique career journeys with our students. Interested? Fill out this form!
Kindergarten Registration Now Open
For the 2026-2027 school year, kindergarten registration is now open and being held online through the ParentVUE portal. Children who will be 5 years old by Sept. 1, 2026 are eligible. If your family is new to MCPS, you will need to create a ParentVue account here. After creating an account, you will be prompted to register when you first log in. Registration sessions will be held in person beginning Monday, March 16. Early entrance to kindergarten and first grade opens on Monday, March 9.

Ride on Flex - FREE TRANSPORTATION
New Ride On Flex Zone 918; This new service will provide peak period on-demand transit service to the Ednor, Sandy Spring, Norwood, and Cloverly communities, as well as New Hampshire Avenue between Maryland Route 108 and the White Oak Transit Center.

Kingdom Cares - East County Hub Food Distribution Schedule
The East County Hub - run by Kingdom Cares, a program of Kingdom Fellowship - provides food distribution services throughout the month at various locations around East County.
