Walt Whitman High School is a community which preserves the dignity of all people so that every student will learn in a safe, supportive, and co-constructed environment which cultivates intellectual and social growth.

WWHS Mission

Walt Whitman High School will work in partnership with students and caregivers to create an equitable, liberating and empowering education for all students, regardless of disability, race, faith, gender identity, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic status. As we build empathy and reflect regularly on bias, we will hold each other accountable and develop a broadened awareness that leads to civic responsibility and positive change.

Prospective Students and Family Information Sessions

Welcome to Walt Whitman High School! We provide opportunities throughout the year for prospective students and their families/caregivers to attend an information session. Students and families will have an opportunity to meet administrators, counselors, and other school staff. In addition, Whitman Student Navigators will take families on a tour of the building.
