Principal's Message (January 21 , 2024)

Good afternoon, Viers Mill families!  This is Mr. Hawkins, Principal of Viers Mill Elementary School, with our weekly Sunday message.

First, I hope that everyone was able to remain safe and warm with the additional snow that we received and the cold temperatures that we are enduring now.  With these cold temperatures, please remember that our entry doors open at 8:45 a.m. for students each day.  Please ensure that your children are not walking to school or being dropped off at the car rider area too early, as we do not want our students waiting in the extreme cold for a long period of time.

Next, we have our Winter Choral and Instrumental Music Concert this Thursday, January 25 at 7:00 p.m.  Our performers should arrive at 6:30 p.m.

On Friday, January 26, all students and families are invited to our PTA-Sponsored Art and Craft Night from 6:30-8:00 p.m.  Enjoy participating in fun activities and creating different arts and crafts with your family!  We hope to see you there!

Finally, please remember that there is no school for students on Monday, January 29, as this is the end of the second marking period.

I hope our families had a wonderful weekend!  We look forward to seeing our Jaguars tomorrow.
