The media center is open and available to students during all lunch periods.

About

The mission of the Tilden Middle School Library Media Center is to support school curricula, empower students to be effective and ethical users of information, and nurture our students to be lifelong learners and readers.

Books are circulated for a period of two weeks and may be renewed. Magazines are circulated for a period of 1 week. No fines are charged for overdue materials, but students are expected to pay for books that are lost or damaged beyond repair.

Tilden media center has over has over 13,000 print titles including a collection of recorded books in cassette CD and Playaway formats. There is a non-print collection of over 700 items which provides curricular support to the instructional program in the classroom.

National Postal Museum Launches Free Children's eBook and iPad App Narrated and Performed by Trace Adkins available two ways-online and as an Apple iPad app. The animated children's story brings to life the amazing true adventures of Owney the dog and is now available on the museum's website www.postalmuseum.si.edu/owneyebook 

 

The Tilden Media Center now has Kindle e-Book readers available for circulation.  Student and parent/guardian must sign an Acceptable Use Policy permission slip before the Kindle can be checked out.  The circulation period is two weeks.  Contact Mrs. Omans for additional information.
